Two key Chelsea stars stepping up their return from injury

Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku are close to returning from injury.

As Mauricio Pochettino stated in his press conference earlier on this afternoon, Nkunku and Lavia could be available after the next International break, which begins after Chelsea’s match on Sunday against Manchester City.

You won’t see the Blues in action until November 25th, against Newcastle.

Nkunku and Lavia were both spotted stepping up their recovery on the grass today as they did some individual training. The morale around the squad should increase dramatically when they both return to team training.

The Blues have struggled with goals in the last few months and it is expected that Nkunku will lead the line until January, although, if Nicolas Jackson continues his good form then we could see Nkunku in a variety of spots such as left mid, centre attacking mid or right mid.

Lavia will help make sure that Enzo and Caicedo do not have to be ran into the ground, whilst we could see all three of them start together, which is what I think most Chelsea fans are hoping to see.
