(Video): Chelsea have goal ruled out and see Spurs avoid two red cards

Well, well, well.

Chelsea needed a break in this game to turn the tide, and it looked like they’d got one.

In a mad minute at the New White Hart Lane, Chelsea have had a goal chalked off and seen two Tottenham player escape red cards.

Destiny Udogie just put in a horrible tackle, was given a red card which should have been given. He was let off. Then Raheem Sterling scored a goal, which was chalked off for a handball. In the build up, Cristian Romero kicked Levi Colwill, but was let off a red as well.

You can see the incidents in the clip embedded here:

  1. I don’t think Udogie makes contact with Sterling, but no card on Romero’s kick out is ridiculous—especially with the benefit of VAR. Officiating in the EPL is an utter shambles these days. Romero has now been allowed to commit a second red card offense (this one on Sterling). Michael Oliver didn’t even call it I’m real time! How has he missed it???
