It was quite the game for Nicolas Jackson tonight. He had a goal disallowed and then scored a hattrick – but under the most bizarre circumstances, with Spurs down to 9 men but defending on the halfway line.
His response after the game when speaking to Chelsea TV was measured.
“I should have scored 4” he joked when asked about his big day in the derby. He certainly missed a few, but got the job done in the end.
He’s not quite there as a player, but he’s frustrating as sometimes he shows flashes. We don’t think this hattrick will do much to convince his doubters, but it should be great for his confidence.
