It was really interesting to hear Don Hutchinson talking about his return from a knee injury in a special feature on ESPN today focused on Christopher Nkunku.
The former West Ham player said that he had been very tentative in his recovery – what he had needed was a teammate to put a hard tackle in on him in training. Once he had survived that, he felt confident he could handle anything.
It’s the kind of advice that will have the Chelsea club medical staff with their head in their hands, but we can certainly see what he means…
