Last night, Chelsea were up against 9 men and just needed to score one goal, with 40 minutes plus to do it.
Tottenham were camped on the halfway line, and couldn’t have been making things any easier for us. But Chelsea, as has become their habit, made it as hard work as possible.
For half an hour they toiled before they managed it, stuffing up chances after chance.
It was infuriating beyond belief. We could hardly watch, and for a while we really thought they wouldn’t manage it.
