Mauricio Pochettino seemed more relieved than anything else in his post match interview tonight.
He knows as well as anyone that things just weren’t good enough against Spurs. We should have made short work of them, especially once they were down to 9.
On the other hand, he also knows better than anyone how much the 3 points mean to us, given we’re in the midst of our very toughest run of games. As he said himself: “I am so happy because the three points means a lot for us.”
We missed out on a lot of points we deserved this season, so this feels only fair.
