£35m striker wanted by Newcastle will give Chelsea huge decision

TeamTalk are reporting on potential Newcastle interest in Romelu Lukaku.

Sources in Belgium are saying that Eddie Howe sees the striker as the ideal man to lead the line for him, presumably playing in the role that Callum Wilson currently has.

The same report says that Lukaku has reservations about returning to England- and that’s fair enough. He just seems so much happier and more settled in Italy, and it seems like he’s been stung enough times to know that now.

TeamTalk add that Chelsea would accept £35m for Lukaku, and it seems likely that Saudi funded Newcastle will be able to cough that up if they really want him. Would Chelsea sell him to a rival if other teams are interested at a similar price?

He may have another big decision to make next summer and there’s the chance of a lot more bad blood, especially if the Magpies are in the Champions League and Roma and Chelsea aren’t.
