(Video): Crumbling Chelsea back four concedes sloppy goal

This has been an immensely frustrating first 20 minutes at Old Trafford.

Both teams have been incredibly sloppy, and Chelsea wasted a couple of brilliant chances on the break.

They looked set to have another coming up, as Nicolas Jackson raced out from his half, but he gave it away, Manchester United pounced and scored after the ball pinballed around between some hesitant defenders.

This needs sorting out, and fast. This back four don’t look familiar and comfortable together at all, and the attack has not been able to take advantage of the massive gaps in the United midfield.

You can see the goal in the clips embedded here:

  1. I blame the midfield. They’re not keeping possession AND they’re not doing enough to track back and recover the ball!
