The Sunday Vibes show this week had a long Chelsea chat, and one of the things that Sam Obaseki mentioned was something we’ve seen raised a lot.
We all want to see a Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile partnership at centre back. Thiago Silva is fading and those two look to have the highest ceiling in our group.
But we will have to be patient. Colwill is needed at left back for the foreseeable future while Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella are out. Even when one is back, Pochettino clearly likes him as an option there. It’s hard to see the Badiashile – Colwill duo getting more than a handful of runouts this season.
