Mauricio Pochettino has been pretty positive in press conferences in his time at Chelsea so far, and you’d think this would be his easiest one yet given Chelsea have won their last two games.
But instead the Blues boss today went on a bit of a rant where he bemoaned members of the squad who weren’t happy when they didn’t play. He reminded them that Chelsea is a meritocracy, “not a charity.”
It was all rather unnecessarily candid, and the timing is bizarre. All is clearly not well behind the scenes. We totally agree with his point, but we all know what happens if you cross the players.
