Mauricio Pochettino had some interesting comments after Chelsea’s important win over Newcastle in midweek.
What he particularly noted was the atmosphere in the squad – the fact that injured and benched players joined in with the celebrations after his team won the penalty shootout they had earned with a last minute equaliser.
We all know about the talent in this squad, what they consistently lack is belief and experience. Hopefully games like this can help bring that to the group. That seems to be what Pochettino is pointing to here.
