Transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri has got everyone excited today by Tweeting that Chelsea are “the chosen club” for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is going to leave Serie A this summer.
He doesn’t give many further details, but it sounds like Osimhen and his entourage have been successfully courted by those upstairs at Chelsea, putting them at the front of a very long list of suitors.

We don’t want to get too excited, and there’s still a long way to go. But if there has indeed been really positive contact between both parties on this move, it would go a long way to explaining why there has been little other transfer chatter surrounding us this winter.
If the club really think an Osimhen move is on for the summer, all their resources would go into making that happen, and this month would be all about clearing the decks for a very expensive arrival.
