“No chance” – Fabrizio Romano completely shuts down Chelsea transfer rumour

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has completely shut down one Chelsea transfer rumour today.

Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for the Daily Briefing, the transfer news expert played down the recent Chelsea links as fake news.

Sources: Results of Chelsea’s Osimhen agent contact, Deal to be done for Toney with Brentford interest in Blues player, Striker plans as of today, and More….

The news he is speaking about is Chelsea’s links to Girona striker Artem Dovbyk.

Apparently Chelsea have an interest in signing him in January, but that will not be happening. In fact, Romano calls the links ‘fake news’ and says there is no chance of this one happening in the winter market at least.

But what about in the summer market? Well, he’s been a bit coy on that one but hasn’t ruled it out despite admitting that it’s too soon to know on that.

“Despite rumours about Chelsea, Artem Dovbyk is not leaving Girona in January, no chance. It’s fake news, at least for the January window. In the summer we will see, but I have no idea if it will be Chelsea or other clubs, it’s too early to say right now,” Romano said.

I’m sure that Dovbyk will become another talked about rumour leading up to the summer and he will be attracting interest from a number of the big clubs for sure. Whether Chelsea will make a move or not though, remains to be seen.
