Chelsea had already scored 3 in this game, but Cole Palmer hadn’t yet found the net, or his feet in the game.
That all changed when Middlesbrough gave the ball away softly in defence. Boro’s attempts to play out cost them against a Chelsea team who suddenly have found their clinical edge.
Palmer found himself in space in the 18 yard box with the ball, and then it was easy, a quick dummy to freeze the defender and the keeper, then a calm finish. Why can’t it always be this easy?
