Mauricio Pochettino was asked in his press conference yesterday about today’s opposition, and he said that he wasn’t at all surprised by their success.
His reasoning? That Unai Emery is “one of the best coaches in the world.”
Emery has already made great strides in proving that, and his doubters from his spell at Arsenal have really had to admit their mistake now.
Both Emery and Pochettino will have one eye on the league, but both will also see this competition as really important to their project, so we expect an exciting and interesting game this evening.
