20 year old attacking midfield talent interests Man City and Chelsea after scoring World Cup winner

We’re moving into springtime, and that means the transfer rumours for this summer can begin in earnest.

There should be at least one major buy at Chelsea, but one thing we can be sure of is that there will also be a nice spread of young talents brought in, as last year and the year before.

According to HITC, we can add a new name to our list – Luciano Rodriguez.

The Liverpool Montevideo midfielder has been regularly linked with moves away, and plenty of Premier League teams have had serious interest. It seems he’s continued to impress, as the sides being mentioned are now us and Manchester City, rather than Nottingham Forest and Wolves who were front runners a year ago.

He’s already 20, so a shade older than the majority of the starlets we’ve poached from South America in recent times. He would likely go on loan to another team in Europe at first to help his adaptation.

His career highlight so far is scoring the winning goal for Uruguay at the under 23 World Cup against Cesare Casadei’s Italy.
