Chelsea’s official app has just done a preview of tonight’s game against Leeds, and they hint at some major changes to the team that we see tonight.
It’s going to be a very tough game against strong opposition, but Mauricio Pochettino will be forced to change things up just for the sake of freshness and fitness. The same team has played our last 2 games, and there’s no way most players can handle another go.
Given the injuries, that means young players will have to be brought in, and the app names Ronnie Stutter as a potential addition to Pochettino’s group for tonight:
“There may also be opportunities for younger attacking players such as Brazilian Deivid Washington, who scored
for the Under-21s on Monday night, Leo Castledine and striker Ronnie Stutter, both of whom struck against Leeds in PL2 earlier this month.”
Stutter will be on the bench at best, but up top we’re so thin he genuinely could see the pitch. Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer need a rest, Christopher Nkunku is out injured and Armando Broja has gone on loan. Pochettino may finally have to use some of these academy stars, like it or not.
