Chelsea have just released their injury report ahead of this afternoon’s press conference, and there’s a worrying addition to the list.
Christopher Nkunku has only recently been put back into the mix, and he’s now listed as “undergoing medical assessment.”
He came on as a sub in Sunday’s EFL Cup final and didn’t seem to pick up any injury issues there. Since then the team can’t have done much training, so it’s hard to know where it might have come from.
We’ll get more information from Mauricio Pochettino shortly – but it can’t be good news let’s face it.
In other news, Marc Cucurella and Thiago Silva are in the “reconditioning phase” and will presumably be out another week at most.
Benoit Badiashile and Carney Chukwuemeka, who were in the team as recently as a couple of weeks ago, are listen as back in rehab for their latest issues. The fun never stops.
