Liverpool add three further injuries to growing list ahead of Carabao Cup final

Last night the news broke that Liverpool had lost their goalkeeper Alisson Becker to an injury that could rule him out of the Carabao Cup final.

It’s without doubt a boost – he’s one of the best out there. They were already missing Trent Alexander Arnold and Joel Matip.

But now things are getting even worse for the Reds.

We’ve been watching their early kick off against Brentford as a bit of scouting, and before the end of the first half they lost potentially three further players to injury.

Curtis Jones looked to have twisted his ankle with a bad planting of his foot, and not long after that Diogo Jota saw his knee buckle, and he was stretchered off.

Then, after half time, Darwin Nunez didn’t reappear. He played very well in the first half, so we can only assume it’s an injury, or at the very least a precautionary move by Jurgen Klopp. We expect more information from the Liverpool boss at full time.

Things might just be lining up for Chelsea here…
