Chelsea have just been given a significant boost ahead of their Carabao Cup final game against Liverpool later this month.
Rumours are spreading all over Twitter that Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker has picked up a hamstring injury. Even if it’s very minor (and all indications are that it’s not) it certainly rules him out of our game against them later this month.

We’ll take any edge we can get at this point. This might just disrupt Liverpool’s defence enough to give us a chance.
The bad news is that Caoimhín Kelleher also started the 2022 Carabao Cup final against us… he ended up scoring the decisive penalty to win the game for them. So we can’t expect him to be low on confidence. He’s replaced Alisson a few times over the years and always looks very solid.
But regardless, Alisson is perhaps the best keeper in the world, so anyone is a step down.
