We absolutely love Conor Gallagher.
It’s not just the enthusiasm he shows on the pitch – and it’s not just that he won us yesterday’s game with two goals – it’s the obvious love and appreciation he has for Chelsea. He looks genuinely delighted to be out there in every game, and genuinely gutted when we lose. That’s more than you can say for plenty of players, past and present.
His smile in the interview after the game last night said it all. Winning games for Chelsea means as much to him as it has for any player we care to remember. Let’s hope he gets the chance for plenty more nights like this.
