Chelsea got a potentially season saving result lats night, scoring early and sealing a 3-1 win over Aston Villa.
The relief on the faces of the players was really notable. They’ve been accused (quite rightly) of playing like they don’t care, but two who always put a shift in are Conor Gallagher and Ben Chilwell.
They spoke to ITV after the game, and the relief was palpable. They’ve felt the pain of these bad results more than most, so they also enjoy these good times a little more.
You can’t fake that sort of passion. They really wanted this.
