(Video): “Come on…” – Mauricio Pochettino can’t hide his anger as he tries to laugh off “bottlejobs” line

When Gary Neville called Chelsea “billion pound bottlejobs” at the end of the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, it instantly had the air of a tag that was going to stick.

Sure enough, last night Mauricio Pochettino was still answering questions about it. The poor manager can tell this is going to be something he has to address for some time.

While he’s laughing it off and saying he “loves” Neville, it clearly has got under his skin a little. Perhaps because he knows there’s truth to it?

You can see his response in the clip embedded here and make your own mind up:

  1. Oh, come off it! “Truth to it”???

Neville himself all but issued an apology today. It was a massive overstatement. He knows it and so does anyone else who’s the least bit of objective. It’s just a shame that haters like SuperFrank insist on giving this tempest in a teakettle oxygen. Full credit to Poch for standing his ground without getting drawn into a public spat with Neville. Jeers to Chelsea News for the non-stop deluge of criticism of a young squad who were within minutes of taking a cup final to penalties.
