Trevoh Chalobah had to make his first start of the season tonight under very difficult circumstances.
In a tired and rotated team he looked comfortable in defence – surprisingly comfortable given how long he’s been out, and compared to his teammates.
It was no surprise that Chelsea TV spoke to him after the game to find out how it felt to come back.
He admitted “it’s been a difficult time”, the first serious injured spell in his career.
He bemoaned “setbacks after setbacks” as he’d tried to come back.
The squad is really at breaking point right now, with lots of the group needing a rest, so we expect more Chalobah showings this season.
