Mauricio Pochettino was asked about the progress of his midfielders Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandez in his press conference today where he said how pleased he was to see them both score against Aston Villa.
He pointed to the hard work they do and how much it means to them, after a difficult season for both. Gallagher grabbed his first goal of the season and Enzo scored a screamer.
Pochettino is not going overboard, but he clearly likes the players and genuinely wants to see them do well. He’s shown great faith in both of them and is finally getting his reward.
