Petr Cech was on Monday Night Football last night, and he gave some great insight about how youth played a big part in the amazing 2004-2005 title win that he was part of.
He explained how the group were young, hungry, and with a “point to prove.” They certainly made that point, with a historic season.
This is a really interesting take on the whole situation, and one we don’t hear too often, so it was great to hear an inside track on it.
Usually we get a big focus on Roman’s cash and Mourinho’s leadership – this element doesn’t get mentioned much.
