Chelsea man must shrug off England criticism and do his best for Blues in final months of the season

Getting Ben Chilwell back has been important for Chelsea since the turn of the year, and while he hasn’t yet got up to speed with some truly vintage performances, he gives us a great outlet down that side and is a far better option than anyone else we’ve got in that position.

He remains a player who frustrates a lot of fans though, and after his showing for England in last night’s friendly against Brazil there was a storm of criticism online. Fans all over the country were venting their frustrations at the 27 year old’s performance.

With Luke Shaw returning to action potentially in time to face Belgium in the next friendly, Chilwell could well have just played his way out of a starting spot at the Euros this summer.

Still, he’s got a vital role to play in Chelsea’s run of games up to the end of the season, and we think he’s still got a lot to offer Mauricio Pochettino’s team, no matter his England form.
