Malo Gusto shares important advice from team mate

Malo Gusto has revealed the important advice that Thiago Silva gave him.

Gusto has been a revelation for the Blues this season following his arrival from French club Lyon last summer.

The 20 year old has featured a lot more than he might have expected given the injury problems that have plagued Reece James this season.

Gusto himself had a few fitness issues at the start of the season but has now put those behind him and has been a threat down the right hand side registering seven assists in all competitions so far.

The Frenchman has now revealed the advice that Silva gave him about recovering from injuries.

Speaking about the conversations the pair have had since Gusto arrived at the club he told Le Parisien: “What struck me when I first arrived was that, at his age, he’s focused on everything he does and he’s very fussy. He arrives at training early, leaves late and pays great attention to his body.”

“That’s what inspires me about him. We’ve talked about a lot of things, his career, his time in Paris, and he really pushes me to pay attention to every detail and to listen to my body, because it’s our work tool.”

“I had some minor physical problems at the start of the season, and he always told me to focus all my recovery on listening to my body, to give it what it needs without being in a hurry to come back or do too much. Just be with it.”

Gusto will be back in action on Sunday when the Blues take on Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter final at Stamford Bridge.
