Chelsea are reportedly targeting a new centre back in the summer, and they have a Newcastle United player and a Benfica player on their list of options being looked at.
We know that the club will be looking to bring a few more players in at the end of the season to improve and add to the current squad, but a lot of that also depends on outgoings and who they can move on before the end of June to balance the financial books and adhere to rules set by the league and UEFA.
There has been a huge exclusive report come out today from Chelsea insider Simon Phillips via his personal Substack site, and there are some very interesting and key bits of information delivered.
Phillips says that Chelsea are prioritising a new centre back in the summer, although it is a new striker that still heads the list.
He reports that the three main names he’s been given at the moment are Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace, Sven Botman of Newcastle, and also Antonio Silva of Benfica.
