(Video): Mauricio Pochettino makes worrying revelation about what some of his squad did before Carabao Cup final

Mauricio Pochettino made a pretty eye opening revelation tonight when he spoke about how important it was to try and against Leicester on Sunday, in the interests of getting back to Wembley in order to help his young group get used to these experiences.

He then revealed that some of his players hadn’t been able to sleep the night before the Carabao Cup final last month, such were their nerves about the game.

Pochettino didn’t name any names, but it’s still a pretty massive claim. If that’s true, we can see why he’s so keen to get more experience of these situations in them.

  1. As if nerves before a big game aren’t totally normal??? I’ve seen interviews with some of the world’s greatest all-time athletes and plenty of them admit to having massive anxiety before big games. These are people we mistakenly assume are cool as cucumbers, but that’s just not actually the case. So, I’m not sure why our youngsters losing a little sleep is “worrying,” lol! It’s normal for crying out loud! In fact, it probably says good things—that the lads understand the magnitude of the match they’re about to play!
