Chelsea vs Man U – Team News

Chelsea face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!

There are no changes for Chelsea from the team that drew 2-2 with Burnley at the weekend. Raheem Sterling doesn’t force his way back in, nor does Noni Madueke.

It’s the back four you’d expect – Djordje Petrovic in goal, Malo Gusto and Marc Cucurella at full back. The rather unpopular Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile combination continues in the middle.

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are the central midfield pair, with Conor Gallagher roving ahead. Nicolas Jackson is flanked by Mykhailo Mudryk and Cole Palmer.

It’s clear that this is the eleven Pochettino likes at the moment, and until Christopher Nkunku comes back or perhaps Romeo Lavia, it’s not clear who will displace this group. Perhaps a fit Trevoh Chalobah gets back in – but Badiashile can probably secure his place alongside Disasi if they look more solid together tonight.

There are a number of other interesting issues. Cucurella looks like he’s going to play a lot in the weeks to come, and he needs to find his form, fast, if we’re to get anything out of this season.

Jackson and Mudryk desperately need to step up and find the net tonight to take the pressure off Palmer, who has done too much heavy lifting for too long. Enzo and Caicedo also need to put in a performance that reminds us why we paid £200m for the pair.

Here are the full team line-ups for Chelsea vs Manchester United (kick off at 20:15 GMT)
