How to get tickets for Chelsea vs Man U at Stamford Bridge

Looking for Chelsea – Man U tickets?

Results have been up and down for the Blues this season but they’ve tended to raise themselves and perform well against other top teams. Man U have had the opposite – some good results from some shocking performances.

It makes Thursday’s game particularly interesting and hard to predict – and potentially a great one to go and see live in person.

Chelsea vs. Man U tickets – how to buy

As with any Premier League game, especially one involving two top teams like this, getting access to tickets can be hard. There a lot of home and away fans desperate to come to this game, and the Bridge does not have a huge capacity.

Maybe you’re very lucky and have a friend with a ticket or even access to a corporate box. But most people won’t have that good fortune, and will have to figure things out for themselves.

It’s certainly not recommended to buy them from touts outside the stadium – the only thing guaranteed there is you’ll have a bad view, pay over the odds, and may even be denied entry. Plenty of Blues fans will tell you stories about getting stung by a tout or by a grifter on social media.

Of course if you want to come to Chelsea regularly, the best way to improve your chances of getting tickets every week is becoming a season ticket holder or a club member. More information on that process is available from the club here, and there are plenty of other benefits. But if you’re just on a day trip, there are plenty of other options too. Chelsea have made a major drive to open things up for day trippers, especially under the new ownership.

Resale sites allow fans to sell on tickets they can’t use, or Live Football Tickets provide a great platform for supporters to get genuinely match tickets without having to go through the process and cost of signing up for membership (and they offer a 150% guarantee).

Ticket prices

The bigger the game, the higher the prices, and this clash with Man U is going to be pricey, despite both teams having had a bit of a rough season.

There are tickets still available for £124 in the Matthew Harding stand, even with such short notice until the game.

There are also various tiers of tickets available, from cheaper restricted view seats in the upper tier to expensive hospitality package deals.

How to get to Stamford Bridge

The good news is that, once you’ve actually managed to secure some tickets, you’ve done the hard part. As an old school stadium right in the heart of the city, Stamford Bridge is easy to get to. There are plenty of lovely hotels in Fulham and Chelsea you can stay in if you want to be nearby, and transport links are comprehensive.

The tube to Fulham Broadway gets you closest, but there are half a dozen other stations within walking distance, depending on what line serves you best. There’s also Overground access to West Brompton if that suits you better.

The number 14, 211 and 414 buses all stop directly outside the stadium. Further transport information is available on the club’s official website.
