Chelsea are now 2-0 up against Manchester United.
They’ve just won a clear penalty after a brilliant drive from Marc Cucurella up the pitch was played in nicely by great play from Moises Caicedo and Mykhailo Mudryk.
The ref didn’t have to think about it long. Anthony let Cucurella pass him and then was playing catch up. He tried a tackle from the wrong side rather than letting Cucurella get too close to goal, but had no objections once it was clear he’d missed the ball.
Cole Palmer put the spot kick away, just as you’d expect. The “City reject” never seems to miss. This is a really solid lead for us now, and we don’t want to see United given a sniff in response. We need to stay on the front foot after half time.
