(Video): Magical moment as Chelsea academy player scores first senior goal for Blues

Now THAT is the way to clear the bad vibes of the penalty incident away away from this game!

Alfie Gilchrist has just scored his first Chelsea goal, minutes after coming on as a late sub.

Ben Chilwell’s wicked strike was palmed out by Jordan Pickford, but it fell right to the home grown youngster’s feet, and he slammed in a first time shot back across goal.

The celebration said it all. It’s the 91st minute and we were 5-0 up already, but the youngster still celebrated like it was the winner in a World Cup final, sprinting to the fans at the corner flag. What a lovely moment – the perfect way to lift spirits ahead of a huge game at the weekend.

It clearly means the world to him – we need every player to play like games mean this much to them.
