Mason Mount has come on as a sub for Manchester United at Chelsea, and got a serious booing from big chunks of the crowd.
There were plenty of people standing to applaud too – but as always, if there are enough boo-ers, the claps don’t count for much.
His every touch is now being booed by a good chunk of the stadium.
We hate to see it. Mount did brilliant things for us, and never should have left. It’s pretty clear that he would happily have stayed, and he doesn’t deserve this after coming through the academy and giving his best for us for so many years. Even if you believe the line that he wanted to leave – we got £60m for him and he did great things for us while here, what’s there to be booed about?
