(Video): Wonderkid continues his impressive development with dominant midfield show against strong side

While Chelsea’s midfield pair of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo came back from international duty in South America to take part in a disappointing result at Burnley, starlet Kendry Paez had a much more pleasant time after joining up with Ecuador in the US.

He went right back to his club Independiente del Valle and had a top of the table clash with Emelec. It ended 0-0, but Paez was the star of the show once again.

His highlights from the game show his usual silky dribbling skills, but also show him increasingly influential in midfield, dropping deeper and hitting long passes to switch play.

Having such a long period developing in the first team before making his European move seems to be working out really well, and he looks to be a far better player because of it. What kind of situation he will be walking into at Stamford Bridge in June 2025 is the real question mark.
