Well, as surprising news goes this week, this latest report involving Chelsea goes up there with the most surprising one.
It’s based around the club’s managerial situation with noise about Mauricio Pochettino’s future as head coach still being up in the air right now. It looks like Pochettino’s Chelsea future rests on whether he gets Europa League qualification in these last few games of the season.

It’s do-able for sure, but it will depend on other results and not just Chelsea’s in the final three games. Manchester United got thrashed 4-0 by Crystal Palace which of course helps Chelsea’s cause a lot right now, but it’s going to be a shaky three games before we see where we stand.
If Chelsea do decide to pull the plug on Pochettino, there has been a lot said and written about potential replacements coming in. Could the unthinkable happen here by the club looking to bring back a former manager?
Well, according to the reliable Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg on X, Chelsea is one of the clubs that Thomas Tuchel wants to join!
He says Tuchel was open to continue at FC Bayern and there were internal discussions. But the door is now closed for the time being!
He goes on to report that there are two appealing destinations for him – Manchester United, or a return to Chelsea!
There is some loose contact with Manchester United. But for now he is currently fully focused on Bayern and wants to win the Champions League for the team and the fans.
Surely a return to Chelsea is completely unfathomable for both sides? It didn’t seem to end great between them when Chelsea sacked him recently even after he won the Champions League in 2021.
