There has been some breaking news surface over night involving Chelsea making contact to sign a world class striker this summer.
As you will be well aware of by now, the club have been looking to bring in a new striker at the end of this season and they have been linked with a number of different options, including some strong links with RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko recently.

It’s clear that they are weighing up different options, and one of those who they have continued to be linked with recently and over recent months is Victor Osimhen of Napoli. He is expected to leave his club this summer, and it is Chelsea and PSG that are being described as the main suitors for his signature.
The big news over night came from Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio, who can be considered a top source. He’s not quite at the level of Fabrizio Romano, so you might want to wait a bit and see if more outlets report it, but he’s certainly had some decent stories out over time.
Di Marzio claims Chelsea have made first contacts with Napoli to speak about the deal and it seems they have made a proposal.
Chelsea’s idea is apparently a fee of around €80-90m, plus striker Romelu Lukaku, and a young player as well. Although it does not state which ‘young player’ it would be.
Personally, I feel this might be a little far-fetched. I am sure there have been contacts from Chelsea to see what sort of deal they can do. And maybe they speak about players who Napoli might be interested in. But you rarely see swap deals like this go through.
It’s clear Chelsea are keen on Osimhen though and it looks like they are seeing if something can be done here or not.
