Four Chelsea academy players will reportedly be joining Enzo Maresca’s pre-season tour with Chelsea, when his appointment is confirmed as expected.
Thoughts are already turning towards next season, with plenty of transfer plans and other such things being spoken about yet, and this is all even before Maresca has been officially confirmed as the new Chelsea head coach.

That is expected to happen soon though, and we are already hearing reports that he wants to bring in a new goalkeeper as a priority this summer – I’d suspect that will happen pretty soon after his appointment.
And now, his pre-season tour plans are already being discussed and reported on, with Maresca planning to take four of Chelsea’s academy players along with him.
According to The Daily Mail, Tyrique George, Kiano Dyer, Ishe Samuels-Smith, and Josh Acheampong are all likely to join the pre season tour under Maresca this summer.

The new Chelsea owners have preached about investing in Chelsea’s academy and making sure that they put it on the forefront of all they do at the club and the future plans they have moving forward. They want to use the academy and want the top players from there to be given a chance to make it in the first team.
Will that happen or is it all just talk? Only time will tell on that one unfortunately.
But Chelsea’s academy has a huge worldwide reputation as being one of the best in the game, and they have been producing top players now for many years. Everywhere you look in football you will see Chelsea academy success stories, whether they are still at the club or have gone elsewhere to get that success.
It’s easy to forget that players like Jamal Musiala came through the ranks in Chelsea’s academy, and now look at him.
yeah right as they sell them for “pure profit” which apparently means you sell them for 25 and but get a replacement who is worse for 100 million + ???
