(Video): Cole Palmer back in the goals with left footed strike against West Ham

1-0 Chelsea! After a couple of quiet games, Cole Palmer is back on the scoresheet.

He’s just used his lovely left foot to slam a shot in after a loose ball fell to him in the box. Noni Madueke’s cross made it to Nicolas Jackson, who couldn’t steer it past a West Ham defender. The block dropped in the box, and the moment Palmer was on to it we all knew what came next. It all came from a lovely move up the pitch from Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

It was actually a great piece of quick thinking by Conor Gallagher too – the ball was headed towards him, but he had the awareness to know that Palmer was in a far better position, and the midfielder stopped dead to let his teammate have a clear run at it.

The keeper got a hand to it, but when Palmer catches one cleanly you’ve got no chance.
