1-0 Chelsea! Mauricio Pochettino has the fast start he asked for. And who better to score it than Trevoh Chalobah, academy boy and unlikely star of this season.
The defender rose highest to meet a Conor Gallagher free kick. Spurs had been handing us a lot of dangerous set piece chances, and it was great to make one count. But full credit to Trevoh, this was an exceptional header.
He has a LOT to do, he’s outside the 6 yard box and beyond the far post. Yet he managed to get it back across and loop it over the top of the goalkeeper in to the far side of the net.
What a brilliant header! As always, there was an utterly tedious wait for VAR to clear it. They came to the right confusion in the end, despite Marc Cucurella’s block.
