World class player is dreaming of joining Chelsea according to local media

One world class player is apparently dreaming of joining Chelsea this summer when the next transfer window opens, according to a report from the local media.

Chelsea are going to be pretty busy in the transfer market at the end of the season, with plans seemingly for outgoings as well as arrivals.

Sources: Gareth Southgate to Chelsea!?

The striker position is the main position that is always spoken about as being the priority for the club this season.

Nicolas Jackson is doing well of late, but he is the only recognised number 9 left at the Stamford Bridge club, with Armando Broja largely expected to be sold this summer.

Chelsea need competition and quality reinforcements to come in, especially in the centre forward area.

One player they are linked to like every other day right now is Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is going to be leaving his club this summer.

According to the latest report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Osimhen wants to join Chelsea and the Blues can turn the striker’s dream into reality by paying a release clause of circa €120-130m.

PSG have also been linked with Osimhen and are looking to challenge Chelsea for his capture.

Should Chelsea be looking to spend another £100m plus on one single player?

Manchester United target statement Victor Osimhen signing but face major competition from one European giant | The Independent

No, is my opinion, in short.

We should be smarter. There are about 3 to 4 positions we need to sign in this summer, we should be wise and spread our budget and be able to buy in more positions. I don’t get the sense is spending another £100m plus on one single player and then having to fight FFP and PSR rules once again down the line.

Someone like Benjamin Sesko who is available at half the price of Osimhen would represent a smarter buy in my opinion. Or an proven and experienced Premier League striker such as Ivan Toney would be a better direction to take.

    1. The price is just too much we can do much better by buying may be two to three players which a central defender,a striker and may be a left winger also

  1. The price is too much . But if they can negotiate well of reducing the price by sending player’s with cash and both party agree with it . And if they get him , hope he can have good chemistry with Jackson / NKunKu . Good prospect but they need to invest wisely . Its true spread it with right acquisition to strengthen the team / squad .

  2. Don’t do it! This guy is massively overated in my opinion, guaranteed to flop coming from a poor serie A to the premier league.

  3. I agree. Why spend the bulk of your budget on one player. I also believe any attempt to sell Chalobah or Gallagher would alienate a large section of supporters. I would also consider bringing Maatsen back & shifting Chilwell. He’s injury prone.

  4. Agree with you both you can’t compare all the nameless unproven buys like mudryk and caicedo to a world class buy like oshimen.. we haven’t signed a world class player for a while now.. just overhyped players from the league.

  5. Victor Osimhen is the best option now to represent Drogba in that attack as an elite striker… He can guarantee Chelsea 20 goals every season.

  6. I think Chelsea must spend wisely, instead of buying one player for huge amount, it is better for the club to for go such player and look for another alternative with similar skills.

  7. Only three players in the 2024-2025 transfer I recommend not many players to be bought again in the likes of Victor oshimen, neco Williams and Steven Williams
