Chelsea are yet to even confirm the arrival of Enzo Maresca as their new head coach but already he is apparently a reason why a pending new signing has chosen to join the club.
Maresca was a somewhat unknown name in the footballing world just over a week ago, but now he has become one of the most talked about people in the game.

Obviously people were aware of him from taking Leicester back into the Premier League by winning promotion from the Championship this season. But in the grand scheme of things, he is still a somewhat unknown coach in the game.
Maresca has only managed one full season in senior football so far, and Chelsea are undoubtably taking a big risk with his hire.
A factor behind Tosin Adarabioyo picking Chelsea
Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo has agreed to join Chelsea, as Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday and others then followed on.
And apparently, also according to Romano, Maresca was one of the reasons he picked Chelsea over Newcastle.
Romano posted on X: ‘Chelsea expect Tosin Adarabioyo deal to be signed and sealed next week, after verbal agreement reached. Tosin believes Chelsea are offering the best project for his future, with Enzo Maresca also being a factor for his decision.’
It’s quite astonishing that Maresca is an apparent reason why he is coming to Chelsea, but I guess Tosin will be familiar with Maresca though due to the fact that both of them were at Manchester City within the youth ranks, with Maresca managing the City U21s. I’m not sure how much the two would have crossed paths, but I’m sure Tosin will be well aware of how highly Maresca is rated anyway because he seemed to have been really valued at City within the ranks there.
