There has reportedly been new contacts made between Chelsea and another club as they look to thrash out a deal for a striker this summer.
Chelsea are involved in a few potential deals right now and there are potential outgoing deals coming to fruition as well as arrivals.

One player Chelsea clearly want to sell this window is striker Romelu Lukaku, but the problem has been suitors not willing to pay the fee wanted by Chelsea to sign him and also, he has high wages. Chelsea will be desperate to get those wages off their books now.
Clubs are certainly interested in Lukaku, and it is probably good as well that he is at the moment having a pretty good Euros. But even still, it is going to be very hard for Chelsea to get a decent fee for Lukaku, unless he ends up going to Saudi Arabia. But Serie A clubs, the ones who appear to be most interested, just cannot seem to be able to afford him.
AC Milan make contact for Lukaku
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan have made contact with Chelsea over Romelu Lukaku. The report also mentions Napoli as being interested.
However, we have that age old problem with Lukaku and clubs not wanting to sign him on a permanent deal. Because the offer mentioned is just a loan offer from AC Milan. That is simply no good for Chelsea, who will need to sell him on a permanent deal this summer and get him off their books entirely.
AC Milan have also scheduled a meeting with the player’s entourage: the aim is to understand the feasibility of a possible operation.
But unless they are willing to buy him on a permanent deal, then I can’t see this going anywhere.
