Two top sources give route out of Chelsea for problematic player to join new club

Two top sources have given a route out of Chelsea for one of their problematic players to leave this summer and join a new club on a permanent move.

Chelsea have a few situations to sort out this summer with a number of players set to leave the club after loan moves away in recent seasons.

Sources: Chelsea still eyeing centre backs, winger noise intensifies, Osimhen off the menu – who now?

There is none more a problematic player at the club right now than Romelu Lukaku. The striker has been at Chelsea since 2021 yet he’s only played 26 times for them in the Premier League since that point. He’s spent the rest of the time out on loan at different clubs.

He cost Chelsea almost £100m in 2021 and has proven to be a massive waste of money for them since doing that infamous interview mid-season moaning about manager Thomas Tuchel and how he was being used at the club, basically saying he wanted out. And it was all downhill from there.

Chelsea went on to win the Champions League that season, but Lukaku became a hated figure amongst the Chelsea fan base. They wanted him gone, he wanted out, and neither of them want a reunion.

The way our for Lukaku

Well, it seems he can rekindle with his best mate Antonio Conte again, who appears to be his forever biggest fan!

Two top sources, Fabrizio Romano (seen above in his latest YouTube video), and Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio are reporting that Lukaku has now become a top priority target for Napoli with Conte at the helm.

It looks like Napoli could well be about to do Chelsea and Blues fans a massive favour by taking this problem player off our hands once and for all. We can finally be rid of a massively expensive mistake and never have to speak about him again!

  1. How poetic! Conte wanted Lukaku when he was at Chelsea and Roman didn’t get the deal done. The club waited until he caught fire (for Conte) at Inter and then paid a premium to buy him for a manager (Tuchel) who didn’t even want him, lol! Probably the worst deal Chelsea has ever done. So now the idea that we might sell him back to Conte is just too poetic!
