Unwanted Chelsea ace feels he’s being forced out the club against his will

Trevoh Chalobah feels he’s being forced out of Chelsea “against his will” after being left out of the club’s pre-season tour according to journalist Ed Aarons.

The Blues set off to America for their pre-season tour on Monday with Chalobah a shock omission from the travelling party.

Enzo Maresca is scheduled to face the media on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s friendly against Wrexham and he will likely be asked about Chalobah’s exclusion.

Chelsea have made it clear they want to sell Chalobah, and the arrival of Tosin Adarabioyo has seemingly pushed the 25-year-old further down the pecking order.

The omission came as a shock seeing as Chalobah had taken part in the first two weeks of training with the first team squad, and the decision hasn’t gone down well with a number of Chelsea supporters.

Aarons has added some more details to the situation and has reported that Chalobah feels he’s being forced out against his will, and will take his time to assess his options.

He took to X.com and said:

“Understand that Trevoh Chalobah feels he is being forced out of Chelsea against his will after being left out of the club’s preseason tour. Defender said to be determined not to rush to sign for the first team that makes an offer and will instead assess options.”

The academy graduate was close to a move to Bayern Munich last summer but the deal failed to materialise, whilst he also turned down a move to Nottingham Forest.

Chalobah was one of Chelsea’s best performers when he worked his way into the side during the second half of the season having been injured, and is part of the reason the club managed to secure a top six finish.

He’s understood to be attracting interest from the likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace, but previous reports have indicated that if he were to leave Chelsea it would only be for a Champions League club.
