Chelsea star brutally left out of pre-season tour has done nothing to encourage interest from other clubs

Trevoh Chalobah doesn’t have a transfer lined up and has done nothing to encourage interest from clubs according to The Athletic.

Chalobah was a shock omission from Chelsea’s squad for their pre-season tour of America, and it now appears his days at Stamford Bridge are numbered.

The 25-year-old has come through the ranks at the club going from the academy to the first team, and played a key role last season as the Blues secured a top six finish and a return to European football.

No Chalobah transfer lined up

It feels like the writing has been on the wall for a while for Chalobah, and the club have made no secret of their wishes to sell him.

The arrival of Axel Disasi from Monaco last summer was an indication the Blues were planning for life without Chalobah, whilst the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo in this window was another blow for the defender.

Chalobah has proven those who doubt him wrong a number of times over his career, but the decision to leave him behind is the clearest yet he has no future at the club.

Chalobah is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Reports have suggested he feels he’s being forced out against his will, and that he wants to stay and fight for his place.

Chalobah is not thought to be in a rush to make a decision on his future, and if he does leave Stamford Bridge it’s believed he will only do so for a club with European football.

Some thought he was omitted because he may have had an imminent transfer lined up but The Athletic have reported that isn’t the case.

Journalist Liam Twomey wrote:

“There is no transfer lined up, Chalobah has done nothing to encourage interest from other clubs this summer and, as such, a market is yet to develop.

“By leaving him out of their tour squad, Chelsea are seeking to create one.”

Chalobah is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham, whilst Manchester United are also thought to be keeping an eye on the situation, and Ben Jacobs has claimed Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan could be two clubs to watch.
