Forgotten Chelsea star Wesley Fofana has taken to social media stating he is “ready for next war” after returning to pre-season training on Monday.
Fofana has been plagued by injury issues since his move from Leicester in 2022, and he missed the entire of last season with an ACL injury.
The Blues returned to pre-season training on Monday and much to the delight of both fans and everyone at the club Fofana was there to take part having recovered from his serious knee injury.
Fofana when fit and playing at his best is arguably Chelsea’s best defender and being able to count on him for the new season is a huge plus for Enzo Maresca.
The upcoming tour of America will be crucial for Fofana, and it will be interesting to see how he reacts to playing again given it’s been so long since he was on the pitch.
The Blues have completed their first two days of pre-season training under Enzo Maresca and Fofana took to Instagram to post a series of photos of him in action with the caption “ready for next war.”
Several team-mates took to the comments section saying how great it was to see him back, and everyone will be hoping the Frenchman can stay fit next season.
