Chelsea have agreed to sell winger Diego Moreira to sister club Strasbourg for £1.7m according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Blues have been busy in the transfer market with a number of new faces coming through the door, the latest of which is Pedro Neto who joined from Wolves in a deal worth £51.4m.
However, Chelsea’s squad is oversized and there’s a number of players the club need to move on before the window closes whether that’s on loan or a permanent basis.
Moreira to join Strasbourg on a permanent deal
The Blues have now seemingly struck a deal for another departure and Tavolieri has reported that Moreira is set to join Strasbourg on a permanent basis, but there will be a buy back clause in the deal.
He took to X.com and said:
“More details on Diego Moreira’s deal to Racing Strasbourg. Been told it’s going to be a permanent move as #RCSA can’t welcome new players on loan anymore.
“#ChelseaFC will €2m in return and should include a buyback option in the contract. #mercato #CFC.”

Moreira will join Andrey Santos who is spending the season on loan with the French side along with summer signing Caleb Wiley.
The Portugal under-21 international joined the Blues on free transfer from Benfica last summer and made his debut in the Carabao Cup under Mauricio Pochettino.
The 20-year-old was then sent on loan to Lyon where he made nine appearances before being recalled in January.
Instead of going on another loan Moreira stayed with the Chelsea under-21s making nine appearances and scoring five goals.
A loan deal had initially been discussed but with the limited amount of international loan spots available a permanent transfer makes a lot of sense.
Chelsea will now be able to monitor his progress closely at their sister club and should he develop into a top player they have the option to buy him back so seems like smart business for all parties.
