“Not a name discussed” – Top journalist rules out Chelsea move for 23-year-old star

Chelsea are not currently interested in Paris Saint Germain striker Goncalo Ramos despite recent rumours according to Ben Jacobs.

It’s been a busy summer at Stamford Bridge with several new faces arriving at the club, with the most recent being Pedro Neto who completed his £51.4m move from Wolves last Sunday.

The Blues are set to be one of the busier clubs over the final few weeks of the window and are still looking to bring in another striker after Samu Omorodion’s  £34.5m move from Atletico Madrid collapsed.

Chelsea not interested in Ramos

Despite signing Marc Guiu from Barcelona, Chelsea have been looking to bring in another striker and thought they had found their man in Omorodion.

However, it was revealed on Sunday night the deal had collapsed because of a major problem with finalising the contract, which means Chelsea will have to turn their attention elsewhere.

The club are locked in talks with Atletico over the possibility of signing Joao Felix and even if they sign the Portugal international that deal isn’t thought to have any impact on their pursuit of a striker.

Despite rumours about Ramos, Jacobs has reported that there’s no truth to the links and he’s not a name that has been discussed at the club.

Ramos only joined PSG last summer from Benfica and scored 11 goals in 29 Ligue 1 appearances as they won the French title yet again.

Chelsea are interested in Victor Osimhen, but only reportedly on a loan deal and they have held talks with Napoli over the possibility of the Nigerian being involved as part of the deal which would see Romelu Lukaku return to Italy.

The Telegraph also reported on Monday that Chelsea were watching as many as four different situations incase the right opportunity presented itself to sign a new striker and it will be interesting to see what the club end up doing.
